We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. yeah, i agree... i like darkness. the funny part is that the computer actually gives you MORE ways to make good dark negative space.
but i think it's the influence of cartoon style art. trying to draw pieces that look like toon cels leads away from black spotting.
i've been experimenting with that, but i still enjoy nice deep darks...
